Pentire alcohol free spirit launches in Switzerland

With alcohol-free spirits gaining popularity around the world, it is time to introduce the fabulous Pentire to Switzerland. Created from natural ingredients found on the Cornish coast in England, Pentire is an embodiment of coastal living in a bottle. Soil, climate and air moisture combine to provide the ideal environment for key botanicals to thrive. These are lovingly gathered and distilled to make Pentire Adrift and Pentire Seaward. Healthy drinks for adventurous people who love the outdoors.

About Pentire

Alistair Frost, Pentire's founder, describes his desire to bottle the way of life he enjoys:

"Catching waves until dusk. Camping on cliff tops and foraging hedgerows for unexpected bounty. Sharing and experimenting with the flavours we found on the coast. We wanted to bottle that experience. And create a drink that harnesses the power, beauty and immense flavours of plants."

Pentire is distilled in the same way as gin, so it is a spirit. However, Pentire doesn't contain gin's main ingredients of ethanol or juniper. This allows it to have under 0.5% alcohol content, less than everyday staples like ripe bananas, bread or orange juice. It also has its own unique flavour and is free from sugar and sweeteners.

Pentire is a fantastic option for anybody who is looking to cut back on both alcohol and calories. Both Pentire Adrift and Pentire Seaward contain just 2 calories per 50 ml serving. It can be enjoyed with tonic or as part of a delicious, alcohol-free cocktail.

Both Adrift and Seaward are vegan, gluten free and contain none of the 14 recognised allergens.

The Flavour

Unique ingredients bring with them unique flavours. Both Seaward and Adrift have their own distinctive taste, the result of a collaboration between distillers and botanists with a vision to bottle the Cornish spirit.

Pentire Adrift is fresh, crisp and herbaceous. Its notes of lemon citrus couple with rock samphire, sage and Cornish sea salt to create a rounded, herbal finish.

Seaward is a newer offering from Pentire, created to be replenishing and invigorating. Its bright, citrus top notes come from zesty grapefruit. This is met with natural green tones from the Pentire plant blend, and harvested Cornish sea buckthorn brings a hint of natural berry.

This is achieved by measuring and striving to reduce carbon emissions, and by offsetting any remaining emissions. Offsetting is achieved by financing clean and renewable energy production projects through the purchase of carbon credits.

Giving back to the community

To protect the environment and our oceans, Pentire pledges to give a percentage of their monthly sales to relevant organisations and charities. They are actively looking for new causes and charities to support.

How to serve Pentire

Both Adrift and Seaward can be served very simply with tonic. Add 50 ml of Pentire to a glass filled with ice, add 150 ml of tonic and add a garnish of your choice. They suggest garnishing Adrift with rosemary or lemon peel, and using pink grapefruit to garnish Seaward. You can also purchase Pentire and tonic in a can to enjoy anywhere.
