Gasthaus Rathauskeller in Zug is renowned for its inventive use of fresh, seasonal produce. French and traditional Swiss dishes are lovingly prepared using natural products in a respectful way. Head chef Stefan Meier strives to harness the true taste of meat, fish or vegetables. Platzmühle, a café pizzeria on the lake in Zug old town is popular with locals and tourists alike. The welcoming atmosphere makes guests feel instantly at home. No wonder they keep coming back. Our top tip for visiting Plazmuhle is to make a booking an hour or two before dusk. Ask for a table on the terrace under the palm trees. Then, sit back and enjoy unrivalled views of one of the most stunning sunsets you will ever encounter as you eat your meal.

 

In terms of food, we highly recommend ordering something from the wood fired pizza oven. The unique flavour of these pizzas is utterly delicious and you will strive to recreate it for years to come.
