SIMPLE SYRUP FOR YOUR ALCOHOL-FREE COCKTAILS

Ingredients

200g of sugar
250ml of water
Optional: any of your favourite fresh herbs or favourite herbal tea bags

 

Method

Add 200g of sugar and 250ml of water to a saucepan over medium heat and stir until the sugar dissolves to make a simple syrup. Then allow it to cool and store in the fridge until you’re ready to use it. Easy! To make a flavoured simple syrup try adding wild fresh herbs such as mint, basIl, rosemary, thyme or sage, or your favourite herbal tea bags or even spice things up with some fresh chilli or jalapeno. Add your desired flavour to the syrup, remove from the heat, and leave to infuse and cool for 15 minutes. Finally strain then store in the fridge until it's time for a cocktail.
